About the Role The Director, Clinical Operations will serve as a key strategic and operational leader within TailorCare’s Clinical Operations organization. Reporting to the VP of Clinical Operations, this role will oversee the Clinical Navigation function. This leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, clinical performance, and patient experience across all navigation teams. They will use data and insights to inform strategy, optimize workflows, and ensure TailorCare’s care model scales effectively as we grow into new markets and expand our patient base. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of clinical understanding, operational discipline, business acumen, and leadership depth. This individual is accountable for performance, P&L oversight, and scaling people, processes, and outcomes to achieve TailorCare’s strategic goals. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Growth Serve as the operational leader for Clinical Navigation, translating TailorCare’s strategic vision into scalable systems, measurable outcomes, and operational success. Partner with the VP of Clinical Operations to define and execute the clinical growth roadmap, including staffing models, scalability plans, and expansion into new markets. Own Clinical Navigation performance, KPIs, and outcomes, balancing clinical quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Drive strategic alignment across Clinical Operations, Product, Data, and Care Delivery to ensure operational readiness and excellence as TailorCare scales. Operational Excellence Oversee the daily operations of the Clinical Navigation organization, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with TailorCare’s evidence-based care model. Build, optimize, and standardize workflows that improve efficiency, engagement, and patient outcomes. Establish and refine KPIs and OKRs for all levels of the Clinical Navigation team; monitor performance and ensure continuous improvement through data insights and accountability. Partner with Quality, Training, and Analytics teams to embed data-driven decision-making and operational rigor into daily practice. Data, Insights & Performance Management Lead the use of data to evaluate engagement, adherence, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency across teams. Translate insights into actionable strategies that improve patient experience, reduce variability, and optimize team performance. Drive a culture of measurement and transparency, ensuring performance dashboards and analytics guide leadership and frontline decisions. Own business reporting for Clinical Navigation, including forecasting, budget adherence, and operational performance metrics. Team Leadership & Development Directly manage the Senior Manager and Manager of Clinical Navigation, empowering them to lead high-performing, mission-aligned teams. Cultivate a culture of accountability, empathy, and growth; model authentic, values-based leadership. Ensure team structure, coaching, and succession planning align with TailorCare’s scaling needs and long-term vision. Partner with People Operations to define hiring strategies, career pathways, and leadership development for the clinical navigation function. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Product, Clinical Strategy, Data, and Patient Experience to evolve TailorCare’s care model and digital tools. Collaborate with Finance and Growth teams to forecast volumes, manage budgets, and assess ROI on operational initiatives. Represent Clinical Operations in executive, cross-functional, and external partner forums, influencing priorities and advocating for the patient and provider experience. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in musculoskeletal, care navigation, and /or digital health environments. 5+ years in progressive leadership roles, managing multi-layered clinical and/or operational teams in population health across geographies/payors/markets Deep understanding of care delivery operations, population health in VBC, performance management, and clinical quality principles. Physical Therapy or Clinical background required (PT, OT, SLP, RN, or equivalent) Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to translate data into action. Demonstrated success leading through change and scaling teams in high-growth or startup settings. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influence skills — adept at aligning cross-functional leaders. Proficiency with analytics and CRM/workflow tools (Excel, Salesforce, Tableau, Monday.com, or equivalent). U.S. work authorization required.
