This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving the financial strategy and operational efficiency of large-scale cloud environments. You will oversee the full spectrum of cloud financial management, ensuring that cloud investments are optimized for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where innovation, accountability, and measurable outcomes are key. \n Accountabilities: Define and execute a comprehensive cloud financial management strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, cost allocation, and unit economics Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives such as rightsizing, savings plans, and elimination of unused resources Partner with cross-functional teams to embed cost visibility into engineering and operational workflows through dashboards, KPIs, and alerts Deliver executive-level reporting on cloud spend, trends, risks, and optimization opportunities to support strategic decision-making Establish governance frameworks, including tagging standards, cost controls, and approval processes for cloud usage Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing FinOps team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Collaborate with Finance and FP&A teams to align cloud costs with financial planning, pricing strategies, and business cases Support major initiatives such as product launches, migrations, and M&A activities through financial modeling and forecasting Translate complex cloud usage metrics into clear business insights related to growth, margins, and scalability Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) 10–15 years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or technology finance within SaaS or enterprise environments Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives Proven success in building and scaling FinOps practices, including governance, cost allocation, and optimization frameworks Deep expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their pricing and billing models Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, with the ability to link cloud spend to business performance metrics Experience with FinOps tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Familiarity with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud architecture concepts Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or cloud certifications are highly desirable Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $158,500 to $198,250, plus potential variable compensation Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability coverage 401(k) retirement plan Generous paid time off and holidays Professional development and training opportunities Flexible remote work environment Collaborative culture with strong leadership support Opportunity to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale cloud initiatives \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
