About the Director, Coach Operations at Headspace:
The Director, Coach Operations will drive operational efficiency and scale of Headspace’s Coaching offering, with a specific focus on leading business transformations and building out the people, process and systems required to launch, optimize, and monitor net new offerings. The latter requires exceptionally strong skillsets across problem structuring, data-informed decision making, strategic operations, change management, and cross-functional influence. Reporting to the VP, Marketplace Strategy & Operations, the Director will drive cross-functional prioritization (key partner teams: Services, Data Science, Product, Finance), and define the roadmap to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate can flex up and down, driving strategy through execution of key projects while also setting KPIs, identifying and driving process improvements, and managing a team of operators. Core oversight domains include, but are not limited to: strategic operations, systems and tooling, capacity forecasting and monitoring, shift scheduling, new product launches (operational partner).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 8+ years of experience, with deep domain expertise around building and scaling a virtual clinical or coaching network and associated complex operations
  • Demonstrated track record at a high-growth, digital health start-up, with ideal experience across 1 or more: business transformations, change management strategy, strategic operations, workforce planning / capacity management
  • Deep operational expertise with ability to set and achieve targets and develop cross-functional roadmaps; brings industry benchmarks and best practices to role
  • Ability to influence and effectively communicate with senior leadership
  • People management experience and ability to motivate and drive operational teams
  • Analytical skill set, with ability to break down a problem into component parts, build a project plan against it, and manage end-to-end execution
  • Strong judgment, accountability and decision-making skill set
  • Critical problem solver leading with data
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead cross-functional stakeholder group across Product, Data Science, Commercial, Clinical, Finance, Talent, and Operations to set vision, strategy, and roadmap driving internal infrastructure builds (people, process, systems) to support a scaling and launching Coach offerings
  • Lead operational teams enabling scale, including shift scheduling, strategic operations; opportunity to refine roles and responsibilities across teams
  • Evaluate employment models for optimal growth
  • Set roadmap, KPIs and business health metrics driving accountability and transparency of domains above
  • Identify opportunities to drive operational efficiency across the care delivery (coaching) business, including but not limited to: process improvement initiatives (ex. Schedule optimization, Onboarding and training efficiencies), workflow audits, automation opportunities and associated tooling investments
  • Demonstrate a structured, data-driven approach, developing investment and project briefs that clearly outline the problem space, business context, approach, recommendation, and core metrics
  • Defines business requirements and evaluates potential vendors to support network scale
  • Thought partner to senior leadership evaluating new offerings and expansion opportunities
  • Lead the Coaching Operations team with an emphasis on developing a high performing organization through clear goal setting, and providing constructive feedback and direction
    What you will bring:

WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING THIS ROLE REMOTELY IN THE US AND HYBRID FOR SAN FRANCISCO (SF) AND LOS ANGELES (LA). CANDIDATES MUST PERMANENTLY RESIDE IN THE US FULL-TIME.

For candidates with a primary residence in the greater SF and LA areas, this role will follow our hybrid model. You’ll work 3 days per week from our office, allowing for impactful in-office collaboration and connection, while enjoying the flexibility of remote work for the rest of the week. Pay & Benefits:
The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $138,600-$200,000 + equity + benefits.
Our salary ranges are based on the job, level, and location, and reflect the lowest to highest geographic markets where we are hiring for this role within the United States. Within this range, individual compensation is determined by a candidate’s location as well as a range of factors including but not limited to: unique relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
