With over 5,800 stores, the region is a key growth driver for the organization. Job Summary & Mission: Lead the team that shapes how Starbucks stores look and feel across international markets. Your work ensures every coffeehouse experience is welcoming, consistent with our brand, and adaptable to local culture. You help Starbucks grow globally by creating practical design solutions that work at scale. Key Responsibilities: Set the Vision • Create and deliver a clear plan for how Starbucks stores should evolve internationally. • Balance global standards with local needs so every store feels authentic and connected to its community. Design Leadership & Brand Stewardship • Work collaboratively to elevate design in support of the Starbucks brand globally. • Serve as a visible design advocate in cross-functional forums, influencing decisions that shape the coffeehouse experience. • Provide strategic design guidance and mentorship to regional design leaders, ensuring alignment with global principles while enabling local relevance. • Keep our design tools, catalogs, and guidelines fresh and useful so teams can create great stores efficiently. • Make sure design decisions protect the brand and manage costs responsibly. Innovation & Growth • Lead efforts to test new store formats and ideas, then scale what works. • Share learnings across regions so good ideas spread quickly across international teams • Partner with global and regional teams to test, learn, and scale new concepts and house learnings as a center of excellence. Integration & Engagement • Build trust and alignment across international stakeholders. • Create cadence for sharing best practices and success stories. • Translate global sustainability goals into actionable regional programs. Capability Building • Develop tools, training, and frameworks to empower design teams globally. • Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Experience & Skills: • 10+ years in program management with global scope. • Expertise in retail/F&B design and development. • Proven ability to lead cross-regional teams and drive strategic alignment. • Strong business acumen, cost optimization, and sustainability knowledge. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
