MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or quantitative field of study; Master’s degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of increasing responsibility with an emphasis on commercial finance to include P&L management, financial analysis, forecasting, and pricing management/strategy
  • CPG experience preferably in the adult beverage industry
  • Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated management experience
Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee supplier performance to direct and recommend actions for improved P&L delivery (Rev/GP/GM%), mix (brand/size/discount), effective pricing and promotional activities, and inventory management
  • Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of any internal programs for Commercial/Sales; provide the leadership with clear payback analysis; assist in making necessary adjustments to any program
  • Provide analysis and support as required for supplier reviews and internal business reviews
  • Direct the team to maintain a local pricing strategy that ensures regulatory compliance, delivery of supplier brand strategy/suggested retail price and adherence to company pricing policies
  • Negotiate price supports to deliver profit requirements and direct maintenance and reconciliation activities which minimize supplier bill-back issues
  • Oversee the negotiation and implementation of all pricing changes and various pricing functions such as new item setup, allocated items, pre-sell, and other special pricing
  • Direct the development and management of pricing calendars
  • Provide proactive oversight of fund management ensuring activities such as funding requirements, spend analysis against budgets, and agreements are in place
  • Oversee NDA contributions to ensure alignment with contractual obligations
  • Regular review and communication of spend analysis to drive effective use of trade spend
  • Oversee A/R and address major concerns
  • Responsible for development of annual supplier budget for internal AOP (Vol/Rev/GP) and supplier LMF planning

ADDITIONAL PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for operationalizing budgets and partnering with commercial leadership groups to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and deliver on fiscal goals and objectives
  • Responsible for implementation and utilization of standardized financial reporting and pricing tools and processes to ensure consistency and efficiencies in performance reporting and analytics
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; conduct terminations, as needed
  • Coach and counsel employees; discipline individuals according to company policy; plan and monitor employee goals; and appraise performance
