We are seeking a collaborative and experienced Director of Commercial Training & Development to lead onboarding and continuous learning initiatives for our commercial teams in the post-transplant diagnostics space. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in sales or sales leadership, combined with expertise in training delivery and instructional design within the healthcare or diagnostics industry. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Transplant Account Managers, Community Account Managers, & Solutions Account Managers are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively communicate the clinical value of our post-transplant testing solutions and our transplant digital solutions. Success in this role requires close collaboration across multiple teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact. The role will require approximately the flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time. Key Responsibilities: Onboarding & New Hire Training * Design, deliver, and maintain comprehensive onboarding programs specifically for Transplant Account Managers, Community Account Managers, and Solutions Account Managers. * Ensure new hires are trained in company culture, product portfolio, clinical data, selling skills, and compliance standards. * Collaborate with HR, Sales Leadership, and Medical Affairs to ensure onboarding reflects business priorities and clinical relevance. * Monitor onboarding effectiveness and continuously refine content and delivery methods. Continuous Learning & Sales Force Development * Develop and execute ongoing training programs to enhance product knowledge, selling capabilities, and clinical acumen. * Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Field Leadership to identify learning needs and deliver targeted training interventions. * Facilitate workshops, virtual training sessions, and field coaching to reinforce learning and drive performance. Team Collaboration * Work closely with the Senior Director of Commercial Training & Development to align training initiatives with strategic priorities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including: * Sales Leadership to identify performance gaps and training needs. * Marketing to ensure messaging consistency and integration of promotional materials. * Medical Affairs & Clinical Education to ensure scientific accuracy and clinical relevance. * Compliance to ensure training content is aligned with guidelines and reinforces appropriate behaviors. * HR & Talent Development to align with broader organizational learning strategies. * Serve as a liaison between field teams and internal stakeholders to ensure training programs are practical, relevant, and impactful. Content Development & Delivery * Conduct Training needs analysis to ensure training needs align with performance gaps. * Create engaging, scientifically accurate training content using adult learning principles and modern instructional design. * Leverage digital platforms (LMS, virtual training tools) to scale learning across geographies and roles. * Maintain and update training materials to reflect new product launches, clinical data, and market dynamics. Performance Measurement & Optimization * Track training effectiveness through KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics. * Conduct occasional field rides with Account Managers and Solution Account Managers to gauge behavior change and analyze performance gaps. * Continuously improve training programs based on learner feedback, business outcomes, and field insights. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MEd, or life sciences) preferred. * 7+ years of experience in commercial roles, including sales or sales leadership in diagnostics, medical devices, or life sciences. * 4+ years of experience in training & development, preferably in a clinical or diagnostics setting. * Strong understanding of transplant medicine, diagnostic workflows, and healthcare provider dynamics. * Expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and sales enablement best practices. * Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. * Experience with LMS platforms, virtual training tools, and performance analytics. Preferred Attributes: * Experience in post-transplant diagnostics or related therapeutic areas (e.g., nephrology, rare disease, immunology, cardiology, pulmonology, hematology). * Ability to translate complex clinical data into actionable commercial training. * Collaborative, proactive, and passionate about improving patient care through education. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and mission-driven environment. Remote: US only roles The anticipated base salary range in the United States is $175,000 - $190,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states. California Roles: San Francisco Bay Area The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Brisbane, CA is $200,000 - $225,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
