Description The Communications & PR Director will lead external communications strategy, elevating the companies’ voices within the entertainment, media, and creator economy landscapes. This role requires a proactive storyteller with established press relationships, exceptional writing skills, and a strong understanding of digital talent and influencer-driven culture. You will manage press opportunities, draft and place thought leadership content, and craft high-quality communications that highlight our creators, executives, and business initiatives. As a key cross-functional partner, you will work closely with leadership, marketing, and talent teams to shape narratives that drive influence and brand reputation. Compensation: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually B.O.E. Requirements Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions: Media Relations & Press Strategy Cultivate and maintain relationships with press across entertainment, lifestyle, business, and creator economy outlets. Develop and manage press outreach strategies to secure consistent, high-quality coverage. Draft and distribute press releases, statements, media alerts, and executive quotes. Proactively identify and pitch story opportunities highlighting talent, executives, partnerships, and industry thought leadership. Corporate & Executive Communications Support leadership with public statements, industry panels, keynote prep, and award submissions. Craft internal and external comms that reinforce company positioning and values. Partner with HR/People to amplify culture, DEI, and employee initiatives externally. Creator Economy Storytelling Monitor and interpret industry trends, media cycles, and cultural conversations relevant to creators and talent. Build compelling narratives around the creator economy and leadership in the space. Provide counsel to executives and teams on messaging and media positioning. Content & Messaging Oversee brand voice in all external communications to ensure relevance and authority. Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to align PR and social messaging. Manage press kits, bios, media Q&As, and other PR collateral. Crisis & Issues Management Support in rapid response situations, drafting statements and coordinating with legal/leadership. Provide media guidance to talent managers and executives when needed. Travel Required Occasional travel for press events, talent activations, and industry conferences. Required Experience 7-10+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations (agency or in-house). Established relationships with press across entertainment, lifestyle, and business media. Strong portfolio of placed press coverage and thought leadership initiatives. Proven ability to write and edit press releases, executive comms, and pitches. Understanding of the creator economy, talent management, and influencer marketing. Experience supporting executives and navigating media-sensitive topics. Preferred Experience Background in entertainment, talent representation, digital media, or creator-focused PR. Familiarity with trade press and industry outlets (Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Business Insider, Ad Age, WWD, etc.). Experience with PR management tools (Cision, MuckRack, Meltwater). Comfort navigating fast-paced, high-volume communications environments.
