Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of policy and procedures regarding departmental contract management, including
    strengthening financial investment and relationship management with Northern Territory Government funded organisations.
  2. Lead the development, implementation and effective maintenance of contracting systems, contract management plans, performance
    reporting mechanisms in line with existing Northern Territory Government procurement and grant contracting frameworks, aligned to
    departmental policy and strategic objectives.
  3. Provide leadership and support to agency delegates and contract managers across the Departments and coordinate the management
    of a centralised contracts (procurement and grants) governance team. Support includes capability development through training and
    provision of information.
  4. Develop and maintain effective collaborative and strategic partnerships within the Department and across the NT Public Service
    agencies and key stakeholders including service providers and peak bodies.
  5. Provide agency and executive performance reports on the agency’s contract investments and support contract management
    compliance and outcomes.
  6. Ensure resolution of contract disputes or major negotiations are carried out effectively.
