About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as Director, Creative Marketing. The role will be a part of a newly shaped LFC marketing team whose purpose is to drive awareness, desire, conversion, and retention across various LFC campaigns, sales channels and Club products in the UK and across the globe. This position will report into the Vice President, Marketing.
The Director, Creative Marketing is the main driver of how LFC presents itself from a brand, marketing campaign and product content perspective. Managing the brand, marketing content, graphic design and VM functions of the department – they ensure we present ourselves visually to our supporters and customers in the most optimised way and in line with Club strategic objectives. This is achieved by regularly providing all relevant stakeholders with both internally and externally curated insight, data, and recommendations.
You will have day to day management and associated reporting of all related content, brand, design and store visual budgets. Supporting in the planning of these costs during the annual budget process and always ensuring value for money and a strong return on investment.

Responsibilities
  • A primary stakeholder the visual identity of Liverpool FC. Setting the tone in the evolution of our brand identity within the marketing team. Working across Club departments, and with external partners to ensure LFC is presented in-line with relevant guidelines, strategic objectives and our long-term brand vision. Being the driving force in the creation of various campaign identities and visual guidelines.
  • Day-to-day responsibility for the marketing content budget that covers marketing creative, brand development, eCommerce product content, store visual identity and graphic design related expenditure. With weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and recommendations. Support in the planning of relevant budget lines during the annual budget process.
  • Senior oversight of the delivery of all LFC marketing campaign content, graphic design output, eCommerce PDP content, and store visual content.
  • Sets the workflow of the LFC content ‘studio’ by providing relevant critical paths and associated tasks to senior content and design managers.
  • Project manage and plan specific large scale creative projects.
  • Partners with the Director, Marketing Campaigns & Director, Marketing Operations, Insight and Research to deliver an insight driven culture. Ensure all content is optimised for channel and audience.
  • Work closely with various Club product, sales and marketing channel owners to understand their audiences and what success looks like from a creative campaign perspective.
  • Support the design function to deliver of a large volume of commercially focused design and. marketing assets required by the Club. Ensure the team is optimised operationally and has all the required tools, skills, assets and information to successfully deliver in line with our campaign calendar and strategy.
  • The day-to-day owner of our brand framework. Ensuring the framework is delivered in a consistent but effective way. Where appropriate evolving the framework to ensure relevancy and continue effectiveness across various channels.
  • Be a key stakeholder in the retention of our commercial partners by working with the partnership management team to ensure all partner content is optimised for Club channels, a Liverpool FC audience and in line with other broader objectives.
  • Be a key advocate for LFC marketing both internally and externally. Drive positive cross Club collaboration and share success stories in relevant channels.
  • Lead regular team meetings and individual 1:1s. Help to upskill the team by developing team PDPs plans where applicable and conducting bi-annual performance reviews.
