As part of this growth journey, we're seeking a Director of Customer Lifecycle & CRM to lead our efforts in designing, executing, and optimizing lifecycle communications that drive engagement, conversion, and retention across channels. Starting salary is $135K; commensurate with experience. A Day in Life: Reporting directly to the Sr Director, Hertz Car Sales Marketing, this role will own the strategy and day-to-day management of our CRM and customer data platforms, ensuring timely, relevant, and personalized communication with leads and customers - from first interest through purchase and beyond. You'll collaborate closely with the growth, brand programs, and analytics teams to activate customer insights, advance our marketing technology stack, and deliver measurable impact on sales performance. What You’ll Do: Develop and execute customer lifecycle programs that nurture leads, drive purchase conversion, and build long-term loyalty for Hertz Car Sales. Map and continuously optimize end-to-end customer journeys across email, SMS, app, web, and social channels. Build and manage automated workflows that deliver timely and personalized messaging based on behavioral and transactional triggers. Collaborate with media and analytics partners to connect full-funnel demand generation and lead nurturing programs. Own CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or Braze) to enable campaign execution, segmentation, and performance measurement. Partner with Analytics to define and evolve segmentation strategies, scoring models, and audience frameworks that maximize engagement and conversion. Ensure CRM data integrity, governance, and integration with Hertz Rental and Loyalty databases to enable cross-brand opportunities. Collaborate with Creative and Brand teams to develop messaging and content tailored to customer segments and lifecycle stages. Test and refine subject lines, creative formats, and value propositions to drive engagement and response. Manage the calendar for all CRM-driven communications, ensuring alignment with product, promotional, and brand priorities. Establish KPIs and dashboards to track engagement, conversion, and ROI across lifecycle programs. Partner with Analytics and Finance to attribute CRM performance to sales outcomes. Present regular performance readouts, insights, and recommendations to marketing leadership. What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, or customer engagement marketing-preferably in retail, e-commerce, automotive, or other considered-purchase categories. Demonstrated success building automated, data-driven communication programs that drive measurable business impact. Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Braze, Adobe Campaign, etc.) Proficiency in segmentation, audience management, and campaign analytics. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including Analytics, Creative, Product, and Technology. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies Excellent communication, organization, and project-management skills. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred Passion for building connected customer-first experiences. Curiosity and comfort working with data to test, learn, and iterate. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
