WHAT IS ISSA LOOKING FOR?

ISSA is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Data Engineering to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. This role is pivotal in supporting both our production systems and our modern BI stack. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong business mindset to ensure data reliability, scalability, and accessibility across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including team leadership roles.
• Proven expertise with Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern ELT workflows.
• Familiarity with CRM, e-commerce, and communication platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Shopify, RingCentral).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the online education or certification space.
• Background in software engineering or DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards.
