Description
Responsible for monitoring and optimization of Snowflake and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and top performance across diverse cloud environments Responsible for unit and integration testing of REST framework Automate database management tasks using Python and UNIX/Linux scripting to enhance infrastructure provisioning and deployment efficiency Monitor and ensure data security by configuring encryption, access control, and compliance measures to protect sensitive data in Snowflake and other databases/systems Review and improve system performance through query optimization, result caching, and clustering, reducing query times and enhancing system reliability Collaborate across teams within the firm to resolve critical issues or any potential outages 5+ years of Strong Developer Experience with ANSI complaint databases such as Postgres and Snowflake using Python and/or Perl Thorough Knowledge of SQL Strong development skills in Python using database interfaces such as SQLAlchemy/ODBC Experience with Agile and DevOps Experience with Linux and Windows, Scripting Good understanding of Azure and/or AWS CSP (CLI based application design and implementation) Strong communication and written skills Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS CLI based application design and implementation Knowledge of security controls for the Public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management ) Developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems Snowflake certification a plus Our values - putting clients first, doing the right thing, leading with exceptional ideas, committing to diversity and inclusion, and giving back - aren't just beliefs, they guide the decisions we make every day to do what's best for our clients, communities and more than 80,000 employees in 1,200 offices across 42 countries.
