Our Global Advisory team helps clients create value from Deep Tech through identifying client needs, shaping their technology strategies, and accelerating roadmaps for growth and innovation. We work hand-in-hand with the scientists and product development teams across the business to help clients to understand what impact new technologies coming over the horizon will have, what is worth investing in and when, what products, systems and services our clients need to build to win to maximise the impact from their technology and R&D investments.
We are looking for a commercial Consulting Director for Deep Tech Advisory who will support our long-term growth strategy, with a proven track record of winning and expanding new accounts, developing streams of business that are predictable and sustainable.
This role will thrive on identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value consulting engagements through building strategic relationships with key decision-makers across the APAC region (in particular Singapore and Japan).
You will sell and steer large projects that leverage Deep Tech to drive client success. These projects could range across all of CC’s core market and technology areas and we anticipate a particular focus on public sector work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong, proven track record of hunting and closing new business in consulting, technology services, or innovation advisory in industry and the public sector.
  • An established network in Singapore and the APAC regional decision-maker level across organisations that invest in or would benefit from deep-tech technology innovation.
  • Deep understanding of business drivers and challenges in at least one of CC’s core sectors in APAC (e.g., public sector, defence, biotech, consumer, healthcare, industrial and energy, telecoms).
  • Experience structuring, selling and delivering complex, high-value consulting and/or technology innovation projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with significant experience in managing the boundary between technology and business objectives.
  • Previous experience of working in a consultancy or other ‘fee for service’ organisation is essential.
  • An excellent degree in a technical/science and/or commercial discipline.
  • A passion for innovative technology solutions and for solving complex problems.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and engage new clients who will benefit from CC’s expertise in Advisory and Deep Tech innovation services.
  • Work with CC’s Advisory, commercial and technical teams to identify opportunity areas for growth and develop and execute a strong go-to-market strategy, creating and converting high-value opportunities.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers in large client organisations, influencing their innovation and investment strategies.
  • Understand what is driving clients’ innovation growth and aspirations and identify and attract opportunities to solve clients’ business problems through the application of science and technology.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, with project teams that draw on the deep consulting, scientific and engineering skills across CC.
  • Expand existing accounts, identifying new areas where CC can deliver additional deep tech consulting and broader new technology development services.
  • Build and represent CC’s business insight through thought leadership pieces and attendance at industry events and conferences in accordance with overall CC strategy.
  • Take a hands-on role in proposal development, pitch presentations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Mentor and coach members of our broader advisory team, and the broader CC, to increase their consultancy skills and client understanding.
  • Above all, make an impact in expanding CC’s network and value in APAC.
