REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health, Policy, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical, healthcare, academic, or related industries, including at least 10 years in leadership roles within complex matrixed organizations.
• Proven ability to lead strategic operations, enterprise program management, and cross-functional initiatives, demonstrating success in stakeholder alignment, project delivery, and various forms of communications.
• Exceptional skills in distilling strategic discussions into actionable plans, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities applied to decision-making and operational refinement.
• Experienced in fostering high-performing teams, leading with clarity, accountability, and empathy.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, build cross-functional consensus, and lead within evolving, mission-driven organizations.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in Business, Public Health, Policy, or a related field.
• Deep Population Health fluency, with a strong appreciation for community values and traditions as a foundation for leadership.
• Strong financial and compliance acumen, including budget oversight, vendor negotiations, and risk governance.
• Polished verbal, written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills, with demonstrated comfort presenting to senior executives, boards, and public-facing forums.
• Experience with brand marketing or agency management.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The position is located in South San Francisco. The position may require up to 25% time traveling.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $166,500 - 309,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

Strategic Operations & Planning

• Collaborates with leadership to define strategic goals, translate input into actionable plans, and maintain operational frameworks for prioritization and performance, while overseeing daily operations to foster innovation and inclusion.

Program Oversight & Delivery

• Lead the execution of CMG enterprise programs, coordinate across functional leads to monitor progress and address barriers, and ensure operational consistency and integration across all PH programs.

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Serve as the operational liaison between the CoE and commercial execution, partnering with commercial, medical, market access, and enabling functions to integrate PH initiatives into brand planning and delivery, aligning timelines, budgets, and resources for maximum program impact.

Governance, Budget, & Resources Stewardship

• Oversee budget and resource planning, vendor and partner management, and internal governance, ensuring compliance, negotiating agreements, and mitigating risks to support business goals and team enablement.

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

• Create tools and frameworks to prioritize work, measure long-term effectiveness of the Population Health strategy, track project milestones and provide updates to senior leadership, define and monitor operational KPIs, program outcomes, and risk indicators for all CoE activities, use data and analytics to inform operational decisions, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Team Development & Leadership Influence

• Act as a thoughtful, strategic leader for operational delivery, building, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement, supporting team capability building in operational delivery, and partnering with Group Functions to implement people-related processes and design professional development experiences.
