The Director of Design and Construction is responsible for partnering with Design and Construction Regional Directors to manage the portfolio of project work which includes establishing and carrying out standards of work for architectural, mechanical, quality, cost, regulatory, and safety standards. This leader supports all project standards for a project portfolio valued at over $600M/year. The Director leads continuous improvement of the project delivery methodology, and works with IU Health Senior Leadership on the planning, delivery, and execution of projects ranging from $10M to over $100M in size. The incumbent must be adept at engaging external stakeholders (vendors, contractors, community leadership, city and state leadership) on behalf of IU Health. The Director will also manage and mitigate financial and safety risks surrounding project portfolio.  Key Relationships Reports to: Vice President – Design and Construction Candidate Qualifications Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies. * Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.  * 7-10 years relevant experience is required.  * Requires experience managing complex programs/projects.  * Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to the assigned area.  * Must have an understanding of the health care market, and can effectively apply this knowledge to the benefit of the System and stated Regional objectives as they apply to facility related projects and studies.   Indiana University Health is unlike any other healthcare system and we're looking for team members who share the things that matter most to us.
