Description Director of Diagnostic Imaging – Full Time Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. What to expect as a Director of Diagnostic Imaging: Responsible for directing and coordinating activities of the diagnostic imaging department. Ensure adequate staffing levels to ensure continuity of operations for all provided imaging modalities. Reviews and is responsible for all QA proceedings and delegates equipment QA to responsible staff as needed. Evaluate accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance for staff. Oversee the use of all radiology equipment. Responsible for monitoring the safety of all employees and patients including radiation levels. Prepare, evaluate, and control the department’s annual budget. Supervises as provides direction for the Diagnostic Imaging supervisor. Incorporate evidence-based practice into development and performance improvement activities. Develop and maintains departmental policies and procedures in collaboration with Leadership and the Diagnostic Imaging Medical Director. Maintain QA logs for all required imaging modalities. Actively participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Support and carries out hospital policies. Work at maintaining exceptional rapport and a cooperative working relationship with all departments and staff. Prioritize assigned work to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively. Maintain professional affiliations as appropriate and participates in professional activities to keep abreast of developments in Diagnostic Imaging.
