Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and implement domestic tax planning initiatives including legal entity rationalization, acquisition strategies, domestic transfer pricing strategies etc., to drive shareholder value.
  • Manage and coordinate state and federal tax audits including responses, audit strategies, and coordination with state and local auditors.
  • Lead technical tax research, calculation, and documentation efforts related to state and federal income tax matters.
  • Lead U.S. tax due diligence efforts with respect to potential mergers and acquisitions as well as post-acquisition planning and integration efforts.
  • Lead integration efforts between tax planning, tax reporting, finance, legal, HR, and tax compliance teams to ensure that planning initiatives are properly executed, risks are mitigated, and positions and transactions are appropriately accounted for and reflected in tax returns and ASC 740.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement federal and state credit opportunities including modeling, documentation and coordination with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims.
  • Support the state tax provision process as part of the company’s quarterly and annual tax reporting processes ensuring technical accuracy of current and deferred state tax liabilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of Tax Department automation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
