QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree, or greater, with a concentration in education, business administration, or association management. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

  • Experience with professional or post-secondary education administration
  • Experience with education course development would be a strong asset.
  • At least five (5) years in a manager/director level position.
  • Experience working with, and reporting to, boards of directors.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
  • Experience with customer resource management systems (CRM).
  • Knowledge of the supply chain management profession is an asset.
  • Bilingual, English and French, is an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage professional relationships.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, fully remote environment.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally across layers of the association, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a National Education and Accreditation strategy aligned with the national strategic plan while also collaborating with our Provincial Partners.
  • Oversee the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), to include contract management with the LMS partner and application owner.
  • Manage relationship with the National Education Delivery Partner: contract management, semester preparation, regular check-ins (at minimum, monthly)
  • Lead the Education Working group with representation from across partner institutes, will need to collaborate on policies, procedures related to education and accreditation. This group meets, at minimum, monthly.
  • End to end process for National annual SCMP events – Leadership Residency (May) and Final Exam (June).
  • Manage and maintain recognition of prior learning (RPL) program to ensure its effectiveness, and alignment with best practices.
  • Develop and oversee a schedule for the maintenance of existing, and development/implementation of any new, education curriculum, including micro-credentials.
  • Manage and maintain the accreditation program to ensure agreements are current, institutes are informed, and keep partners engaged.
  • Seek out and develop new accreditation relationships with universities, colleges, and other associations.
  • Professional development coordination, in collaboration with institute partners
  • Continuous professional development
  • Policy and procedures development and maintenance, as related to education and accreditation.
  • Participate in regular meetings of the association, such as the Operations Committee.
  • Extend education and accreditation support to provincial institutes, when necessary.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on the development of marketing collateral and campaigns, related to education and accreditation, and to ensure website is current, where related to education and accreditation.
