Title: Director
Division: Electrical
Summary: The Director of engineering manages and directs electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering for the company. The priorities for this position include strategic planning, resource management, process optimization, quality assurance and problem resolution. The vice president of engineering must facilitate project execution to meet both client and company objectives, manage resources, collaborate with other departments, develop systems and controls, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Responsible for leading a department specializing in electrical engineering design services including revenue, profitability, growth and personnel development.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • PE License
  • 8+ year’s managerial experience
  • 8+years of experience in engineering
  • Proficiency in appropriate software for the market
  • Excellent attention to detail and impeccable work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Ensures correct scoping, pricing and scheduling of the E&IC components of projects during the development of proposals.
  • Manages engineering budget(s).
  • Builds, develops and manages engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure project schedules, deadlines and budgets are well communicated and executed.
  • Travel occasionally as needed for client and agency meetings, and occasional site meetings.
  • Responsible for a volume of at least $5 million worth of business operations.
  • Building relationships and growing business in energy sector.
  • Develop new business by marketing company to existing clients as well as identifying and marketing to new clients.
