You will provide the vision, architectural direction, and people leadership needed to elevate our integration capabilities to the next level. This is a hands-on leadership role, with a clear mandate to instill strong technical ownership. You will lead a department of multiple engineering teams, taking a step back to see the bigger picture, drive technical change, and make the key architectural investments that will future-proof our platform. Where you will have impact Provide strong technical leadership and a clear architectural vision for the Integrations Engineering department. Lead, mentor, and elevate a department of engineers and team leads, fostering a culture of technical excellence and proactivity. Take full ownership of the engineering roadmap and portfolio for all integrations, ensuring your teams are building scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions. Show innovation by identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance the development workflow. Define and uphold best practices for the entire engineering lifecycle, from requirements gathering and stakeholder management to coding standards and deployment. Serve as the trusted, opinionated, and visible leader of Integrations Engineering, becoming the go-to person for all technical matters in your domain. About our team The Integrations Engineering department is the technical core of Lighthouse, connecting us to the global hotel tech ecosystem. You will lead this department, which is composed of three highly autonomous core teams that own and drive their own technical roadmaps. This is a role for an architect and a builder. Your first project will be to orchestrate a major technical transformation: migrating our legacy systems to modern integration standards and setting the architectural foundation for our future growth. In this team, you will have a clear engineering focus. While you will report to the Director of Integration Strategy, your manager will handle the demanding external business and stakeholder alignment. Who you are Proven experience as an engineering leader in a SaaS environment, with a focus on APIs, integrations, or distributed systems. Hands-on technical expertise, you are not afraid to get close to the code and architecture to guide your teams effectively. A strong track record of leading legacy system transformation or large-scale migration projects. Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate engineers and other engineering leaders, helping them grow in their careers. An opinionated, forward-thinking technologist who can define and drive a long-term technical vision. Experience managing multiple engineering teams and owning a complex engineering roadmap.
