Responsibilities
  • This is an opportunity to support our engineering development lifecycle through strategic automation and tooling decisions. As a Director, you will:
  • Partner with Engineering Chapter Leads across Software, Data, & Analytics to understand their teams’ automation needs and tooling challenges.
  • Lead change management efforts for automation, AI adoption, best practice implementation and new ways of working, creating strategies that drive sustainable behavioral change across engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering tool owners and architecture within ETS to evaluate and implement AI-powered development tools (coding assistants, automated testing, intelligent monitoring) that serve all engineering personas.
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture to document tool decisions, integration patterns, and standards that apply across all engineering disciplines.
  • Build evaluation frameworks for automation and AI capabilities, helping teams make informed decisions based on security, cost, productivity, and compliance factors.
  • Support the transformation office’s SDLC+ initiative while identifying opportunities to apply learnings to other development lifecycles across the enterprise.
  • Facilitate forums where Chapter Leads, tool owners, and architects align on technology choices and share adoption experiences.
  • Work with architecture teams in documenting key standards decisions and their implementation across chapters.
  • Create adoption strategies that recognize each chapter’s unique development lifecycle requirements while identifying common automation patterns.
  • Measure and communicate automation impact across various development lifecycles, from traditional software to analytics workflows.
  • Build relationships with teams driving lifecycle transformations to understand how automation can accelerate their initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
