WHAT’S THE ROLE?

Step into the driving seat with BT Investment Solutions, where you’ll lead a team managing a diverse portfolio of over 70 funds worth $8 billion. You’ll not only ensure these managed investment schemes stay compliant and competitive but also spearhead initiatives to develop new fund solutions and enhance the existing offerings. As a visionary, you’ll identify ways to improve outcomes for unit holders, drive business growth, and elevate the commercial proposition of the funds. You’ll work closely with internal teams like legal, distribution, and marketing, and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution excellence. With Sydney as the preferred hub, you’ll spend at least three days a week in the office. This role blends strategy, leadership, and innovation, offering you the chance to shape the future of fund product management in Australia’s financial landscape.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Deep technical expertise in managed investment schemes: You’ll bring advanced knowledge of industry regulations, fund structures, and compliance requirements. This includes an ability to proactively navigate legislative changes and ensure the seamless integration of new regulatory standards into the product suite.
• Leadership and team development skills: You’ll demonstrate your capacity to inspire and lead a team of fund product managers, building their capabilities and driving a collaborative culture that delivers results aligned with BT’s growth ambitions.
• Strategic and innovative mindset: You’ll be adept at crafting new solutions, developing business cases, and launching market-leading products. From repositioning existing offerings to conceptualising entirely new funds, you’ll have the vision and creativity needed to evolve the product range.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement: You’ll manage relationships with key players—internal teams, external partners, global fund managers, and financial advisers—with confidence and clarity. Your ability to collaborate and influence across diverse stakeholders will be crucial to delivering product excellence.
• Strong operational and analytical acumen: You’ll bring in-depth knowledge of registry, custody, fund accounting processes, and investment transitions. Coupled with your data-driven decision-making skills, you’ll analyse fund performance, create profitability models, and identify opportunities to enhance the commercial value of the funds
