Job Description Maintain and advance RESPEC’s technical expertise and innovation in geology through best practices, applied research, and continuous improvement. Provide specialized technical support on pursuits and projects, ensuring technical quality, adherence to scope, and compliance with standards and regulations. Review and de risk designs/deliverables to identify and mitigate technical risks before client delivery Develop, implement, and maintain technical standards, guidelines, checklists, and QA/QC procedures for geological work products Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance service quality and efficiency (e.g., modeling, data, and collaboration toolsets) Curate knowledge—templates, exemplars, case studies—and steward a central knowledge base for re use across the firm Mentor and train staff; organize internal training and technical forums to build depth and consistency across offices and market sectors Collaborate with Program Managers to allocate appropriately skilled geoscientists to projects; monitor utilization and coordinate deployment to meet delivery priorities across market sectors Partner with People & Culture to integrate technical pathways into onboarding and career development, and support retention Contribute technical content for proposals, scopes, and client presentations; represent RESPEC’s capabilities in client and industry settings Drive interdisciplinary collaboration with drilling, mine engineering, hydrogeology, geomechanics, and other teams to deliver integrated solutions Serve as a visible technical leader through publications, presentations, and active involvement in professional associations We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology or geoscience Professional designation such as Professional Geologist (P.G) or P.Geo (Canada) and/or CPG (AIPG); qualified to act as a QP under NI 43 101; familiarity with SEC SK 1300 and JORC reporting frameworks A minimum of 8 years of experience in applied geology across the mining value chain (exploration through feasibility/operations/closure) with demonstrated technical leadership in consulting and/or owner settings Track record implementing discipline standards, leading multi‑office teams, and performing high‑impact technical reviews on complex projects Advantageous domain exposure: gold, silver, potash, salt/trona, uranium, industrial minerals, and critical minerals Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel Additional Information Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
