Patient safety remains our highest priority. Job Description Primary Function of Position The Global Access, Value, and Economics (GAVE) team at Intuitive Surgical is seeking a highly motivated market access professional to support the development and execution of initiatives for P5 stakeholders (payers, providers, policymakers, physicians, and patients). The Manager, Global Access, Value & Economics – Taiwan will proactively shape and manage the economic landscape of the Taiwan market. This includes fostering a supportive healthcare environment by identifying and addressing access, coverage, reimbursement, evidence, and economic barriers that may limit broader adoption. The role will also drive increased utilization of Intuitive’s current and future technologies among key local decision-makers. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Provide in-country leadership and operational oversight to address key barriers to adoption, including HTA, evidence development and management, medical policy and coverage, reimbursement submissions, payer engagement, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and go-to-market launch support. Lead the development and execution of Taiwan’s Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategy and manage real-world data assets in partnership with the Regional HEOR. Partner with the GAVE Center of Excellence and regional teams to address challenges involving payers, policymakers, HTA agencies, medical societies, and major healthcare systems. Educate and train internal stakeholders on the requirements and capabilities needed to support the adoption of Intuitive’s technologies in Taiwan. Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including major healthcare systems, professional societies, payers, HTA bodies, academic researchers, reimbursement committees, and policymakers. Qualifications Experience Requirements, Core Competencies, and Skills Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., HEOR, health policy, public health, healthcare, or business administration, or other health-related disciplines). 5+ years of progressive experience in market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), epidemiology, health policy and reimbursement, payer engagement, clinical sales, and/or HTA management in Taiwan. Experience in the healthcare industry, including medical devices, healthcare technologies, hospital systems, or healthcare consulting, is highly preferred. Subject matter expertise in applied health economics, epidemiology, healthcare strategy, global payment systems, reimbursement development, payer engagement, medical policy, HTA, economic modeling, and outcomes research. Demonstrated experience in: Conducting ongoing evidence gap assessments to identify clinical, economic, and humanistic data needs. Developing evidence generation plans and integrating findings into reimbursement strategies and roadmaps. Incorporating economic and health outcomes endpoints into clinical study design. Leading reimbursement strategy development, including engagement with agencies (e.g., CDE, NHIA), medical societies, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, clinical, and medical affairs. Managing and providing guidance to external researchers and vendors. Strong teamwork skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. Self-motivated and capable of working with a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity. Results-driven, confident, and able to perform effectively under pressure. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior internal and external stakeholders. Strong prioritization, project management, and analytical skills. Willingness to travel up to 30%.
