The Director of Business Development is a senior strategic leader, reporting to the COO, responsible for driving the company’s growth through new and existing international market opportunities and key strategic accounts. This role oversees the identification, evaluation, and execution of business opportunities and in particular designing and executing sourcing and supply chain solutions to drive success. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, global, varietal, and executive teams to shape go-to-market strategies, strengthen client relationships, and optimize business performance for key accounts. Essential Job functions/ Duties: * Establish, develop and implement business development plans for Globally sourced fruit to export markets. Identifying new markets, avenues of growth and partnership opportunities. * Identify qualified sales leads and work with business partners to convert opportunities and support sales growth. * Analyze market trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities to create long range plans by account. * Prepare forecasts and evaluate potential risk and return by account and new business opportunities. * Build relationships with key stakeholders. Negotiating strategic alliances both internally and externally. * Collaborating with sales, varietal and marketing team to drive leads to conversion. Supporting the development of RFP, proposals and presentations by key account. * Create, track and manage a business development pipeline and performance metrics. * Required to travel internationally to customer and grower sites, sales meetings and trade shows. * Accomplishes department and organization goals by completing related tasks as needed. * Regular and timely attendance.     Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience: * 7- 10 years working experience in a corporate strategy position within a fast paced and dynamic business environment * Preferred * 4 Year / bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any related business field. * Required Valid unrestricted driver’s license * Deep understanding of global sourcing strategies, international trade regulations, and supply chain management * Strong knowledge of market analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment methodologies. * Familiarity with agricultural commodities, export markets, and international logistics. * Exceptional business development and strategic planning skills with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities. * Understanding of contract negotiation, strategic partnerships, and alliance management. * Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across global operations.       Well, what is this job really about?
