Job Description
The Director, Global Employment Tax and Compliance is a core member of the ServiceNow Global Payroll Team, with primary responsibility of supporting the Global Head of Payroll in all external and internal employment tax reporting requirements for our legal entities globally. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across our organization. This position will be based in Dublin, Ireland.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, tax or business administration
  • 10+ years of experience working in employment tax including international payroll taxes
  • Experience working in a global technology company, or having a global technology client.
  • Experience with payrolls larger than 5,000+ employees including international payroll
  • Experience with employment tax audits and compliance globally
  • Experienced in research, analysis and documentation of complex tax issues.
  • Experienced in SAP, BlackLine, Microsoft Power BI and Alteryx is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrated by consistently meeting deadlines and effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, with strong collaboration and communication skills dealing with senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Operate as a subject matter expert of global employment tax matters.
  • Act as advisor to the Global Payroll function for all employment tax related issues, particularly on new regulations and changes to practice to ensure accurate payroll tax withholding and compliance.
  • Effective collaboration with the Payroll, Global Mobiliry, HR, Compensation & Benefits, Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and business units on general payroll, benefits, mobility, equity, terminations and reporting matters with cross functional impact including :
  • Advising the Benefits team on the tax implications of new employee benefits.
  • Collaborating with the Equity team to ensure accurate reporting & tax withholding on stock based compensation.
  • Advising the Global Mobility team on tax implications of global assignments, international transfers & remote working programs.
  • Advising on reporting obligations & potential tax implications of employee expenses.
  • Reviewing and maintaining details of Employment Status reviews of relevant contingent workers arrangements
  • Proactively advise the business on all employment tax issues and opportunities, liaising with external advisors where necessary.
  • Communicate and liaise with the Tax Team and broader finance organization on the financial implications of new legislation and tax exposures.
  • Manage international employment tax audits and liaise with foreign Tax Authorities.
  • Keep up to date with current tax and regulatory requirements and provide updates to senior stakeholders on new legislation relevant to employment taxes, providing insight into implications and recommendations on actions.
  • Lead other ad hoc employment tax projects as needed
