SUMMARY

As part of the Global IT leadership, CellCarta is looking for a Director, Global Infrastructure & Architecture. You will focus on a variety of new and changing technology designs for CellCarta’s businesses. This role requires hands-on experience in networking, infrastructure & server setup (both on-premise and cloud), as well as in managing technical people. With the implementation of a hybrid cloud strategy, you will have the ability to work with the newest tools and environments and advise on our implementation and future needs.

EDUCATION

  • An advanced degree (Bachelor’s level or higher in science or IT).

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • >5 years of experience in similar roles with a proven track record of delivering (technical & strategical) designs in a global environment;
  • An IT consultancy background or experience with a variety of IT environments and applications;
  • Proven experience with multiple technologies including on-premises and cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP);
  • Proven experience in developing complex solution architectures, including application and data flow optimization;
  • Proven experience in working with internal teams and external vendors in different sourcing models;
  • Proven experience in designing robust solutions to meet requirements for high availability, disaster recovery, and information security;
  • Understanding of contemporary project management models such as agile and waterfall;
  • Experience in setting up end-user devices and hybrid server environments including storage and network configurations;
  • Experience in configuring Windows servers (required); Linux administration skills (preferred);
  • An understanding of typical laboratory workflows in the biopharmaceutical, environmental, or similar industries (preferred);
  • Knowledge of or experience with GxP processes (preferred);
  • A wide degree of creativity and initiative. This includes helping the team operationally where needed by demonstrating engagement, energy, and enthusiasm;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken. Additional languages such as Dutch and French preferred;
  • Strong organizational skills, a results oriented mindset, proven teamwork characteristics, and ability to work independently.
