Description Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company/Green Tree Risk Partners Position: Director - Green Tree Risk Parnters Department: Green Tree Reports to: VP of Agency Operations Overall Job Description: The Director of Agency Operations and Business Development will instill a growth-oriented mindset throughout the organization. They will continually develop, implement, and monitor adherence to Forestry Mutual’ s procedures and policies. Responsible for management of FMIC agency, new business development, and the management of agency relationships for the company. Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continually improve upon procedures, workflows, and technology to ensure new business growth opportunities. Maximization of client retention, standardization, consistency, and minimization of E&O exposure. Annual budget expense planning and management. Works with President and CFO to formulate Agency budgets Manage carrier relationships to insure profitable growth. Set Yearly Goals for Staff and Agency. Supervise, train, assist, and be fully knowledgeable of all staff positions. Ensures all Agency operations and duties are followed as outlined in Agency Procedure Manual. Build new partnerships to enhance agency’s ability to provide markets to our agency force. Must maintain a valid Property and Casualty Insurance License and a Surplus Lines License for NC and all other states we conduct business in or as required by each jurisdiction Keeps President informed of any operating problems both internally and externally including any potential E&O claims or any incidents that may give rise to a potential E&O claim. Recommends the appointment and/or termination of contracted agents. Assist and/or trains all new employees and sub-producers where appropriate. Manage Core Agent production and profitability. Responsible for expanding and promoting other lines of coverage in support of Forestry Mutual Insurance Company. Responsible for maintaining statutory compliance with all agency licenses, state regulatory requirements, record keeping and retention requirements and all company appointment and cancellations. Delivers timely customer service to clients, company personnel and agency partners. Conducts all business in a professional manner and with the highest ethical standards. Responsible for administering and managing company insurance policies. Conducts regular department meetings. Conducts annual employee reviews. Is expected to keep confidential all information obtained during course of employment. Other duties as assigned. Job Competencies: · Seasoned insurance leader who exemplifies professionalism and a commitment to superior customer service. · Strong leadership and people skills. · Understanding of agency financials · Organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills. · Excels in process and workflow improvement. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Tech Savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including agency management software and windows based computer applications. · Ability to work on different projects simultaneously. Work Experience: 5+ years of agency management experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Must possess a Property and Casualty and Surplus Lines License. Education of Equivalent Experience: Advanced degree from a college or technical school; possess professional designations ( CIC /CPCU). A combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates without an advance degree.
Responsibilities
