We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join us as Director - Group Accounting. In this executive role, you will oversee the group accounting function and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies. As the Director of Group Accounting, you will lead the consolidation of financial statements across the group, ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, and provide insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process. Responsibilities Lead and manage the group accounting team to prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance. Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team. Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes within the organization. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high-performance culture. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in group accounting, with significant leadership experience in a similar role. Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated capability to manage complex financial reporting in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
