Qiddiya Investment Company is at the forefront of developing a unique entertainment and cultural hub in Saudi Arabia. We are currently seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director - Hardscape to lead our hardscape design and implementation efforts. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of hardscape features that contribute to the overall aesthetic and functional quality of our outdoor spaces. As the Director - Hardscape, you will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that the hardscape elements align with the broader vision of Qiddiya and enhance the visitor experience. This position requires expertise in materials, construction techniques, and landscape architecture as well as a strong grasp of project management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive hardscape design strategies that align with Qiddiya's master plan and project objectives. Lead the hardscape design process, ensuring that all projects are innovative, sustainable, and meet quality and safety standards. Manage the full lifecycle of hardscape projects, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and construction oversight. Collaborate effectively with landscape architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and functional outdoor spaces. Review and approve drawings, specifications, and material selections for hardscape components to ensure adherence to project requirements. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of hardscape work, addressing issues as they arise. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively while identifying and mitigating potential risks. Stay abreast of industry trends in hardscape materials, techniques, and design practices to incorporate innovative solutions into projects. Engage with community stakeholders and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and to facilitate project approvals. Prepare presentations and reports for senior management on project status, challenges, and strategic initiatives. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in hardscape design and project management, preferably in large-scale developments. Strong portfolio demonstrating successful hardscape projects that showcase creativity and attention to detail. Comprehensive knowledge of hardscape materials, construction methods, and current design practices. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing diverse teams. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to varied audiences. Proficiency in design and project management software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and others. Commitment to sustainability and innovative practices in hardscape design. Knowledge of local construction regulations and environmental considerations is a plus.
