Description
Establish overall business or technical strategy for risk management with significant impact on operations. Influence executive-level decision-making through strategic risk assessments and recommendations. Partner with stakeholders to implement strategies that reduce or transfer identified risks. Monitor and analyze risk exposure to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Lead initiatives that contribute to long-term sustainability and resilience in the face of uncertainty. Supporting maintenance of risks in line with risk taxonomy, framework & assessment process; Supporting first line in prioritization of risk mitigation; Supporting the business to roll out new products and initiatives and ensure “compliant by design” principle; Establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder engagement with key regulators; and Manage a team of local professionals to ensure the effective implementation of the global compliance framework across all lines of business in the market. Manage relationship and exam reviews with all regulators. Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 15 years' experience in a large organization including demonstrated leadership in building risk & compliance frameworks. Strong relational skills with local regulatory bodies. Sound knowledge of compliance & risk practices/framework & regulatory obligations of AML/CTF, Privacy, Consumer Protection, and payments related requirements. Broad understanding of payments, credit & banking. Experience designing Board documents & organizational structures to support appropriate Governance across complex geographically challenged entities. Impeccable written and verbal communications skills with the ability to translate, articulate and present highly technical and complex procedural recommendations, regulations, laws and policies to a variety of audiences. Strong change management skills, adept at working in an environment of shifting priorities, constant technological changes and increasingly stringent regulatory pressures. Excellent written and oral English and Chinese communication skills.
