KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead and manage the homecare business, ensuring operational excellence and high-quality care delivery.
• Drive financial performance and achieve business targets through effective management and strategic planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
• Analyze market trends, patient demographics, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making.
• Direct the development of growth initiatives, idea generation, commercial roll out and field sales implementation of clinical products and processes.
• Implement and oversee digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor annual budgets, ensuring the financial health of the organization.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure the efficient allocation of resources, including staff, equipment, and technology.
• Oversee daily operations of healthcare operations, including clinical, safety and administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, addressing issues proactively.
• Oversee the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize operational processes to maximize patient satisfaction and care outcomes.
• Collaborate with billing, collections, and reimbursement processes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Champion patient safety and evidence-based practice across all levels of care.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate department heads, clinical leaders, and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative, patient-focused, and diverse workplace culture.
• Develop and implement training programs to strengthen staff competency and engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and community partners.
• Lead patient and family engagement initiatives to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
• Represent the organization in public forums, industry conferences, and community outreach activities.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience in healthcare management, with leadership roles in similar settings.
• Experience in homecare segments an asset. Home Oxygen services, sleep Diagnostics and therapeutics along with Home Medical Equipment.
• Proven track record of success in managing healthcare operations, clinical services, or hospital administration.

The Director of Homecare is responsible for the profitability and growth of the Canadian homecare business, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role involves creating and managing sales strategies to achieve business objectives, driving financial performance, and implementing digital transformation initiatives. The Director will lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement, while guiding the organization through the evolving landscape of healthcare delivery.
