Yee Hong is one of the foremost providers of culturally appropriate senior care in the country, delivering high-quality resident experience and care to Chinese and other Asian seniors since 1994. The organization operates 805 long-term care beds and 308 seniors’ apartment units, with an additional 224 long-term care beds opening in a new home by June 2026. In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.
In consultation with the Executive Director, Community and Professional Services, plans, develops and coordinates the delivery of effective supportive housing and client intervention services that reflects the organization’s vision and strategic direction, the philosophy of client-centeredness, and complies with relevant government legislations and policies, while also ensuring the effective coordination, growth, and visibility of services through ongoing community connections, outreach, and alignment with available resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in health care administration, nursing, social work, public health, or a related field; equivalent senior leadership experience will also be considered
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in health care, home and community support, long-term care, or related services
  • Strong understanding of geriatric care, home support models, and caregiver services
  • Experience in leading and inspiring multidisciplinary teams, including supervision of health care professionals
  • Background in program development, community engagement, and service growth; marketing or business development experience is an asset
  • Registration with a professional college (e.g., RN, RSW, or other relevant designation) is an asset
  • Satisfactory Police Reference Check (with vulnerable sector screen) result
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese
Responsibilities
  • In consultation with the Executive Director, Community and Professional Services, plans, develops and coordinates the delivery of effective home support services
  • Identifies, secures, and maximizes government and non-government resources to enhance service delivery and explore opportunities for expansion
  • Coaches, mentors, and evaluates staff to ensure an effective, high-performing team with strong morale; plans and schedules staffing resources in alignment with client needs
  • Contributes to the development of internal budgets and implements effective expenditure controls, ensuring responsible and sustainable use of resources
  • Develops and implements risk management and quality improvement initiatives that align with organizational standards and sector best practices
  • Builds and maintains strong networks with community agencies, funders, and stakeholders to ensure optimal collaboration and support
  • Develops and updates policies and procedures that are relevant, appropriate, and aligned with the organization’s vision and strategic direction
  • Oversees accurate and effective staff and client information systems to support efficient operations and reporting
  • Ensures timely and effective response systems are in place for emergencies, supporting client and staff safety
  • Stays current with sector developments, innovations, and best practices to strengthen programs and identify opportunities for growth
  • Participates in community engagement, outreach, promotion, and service expansion activities in collaboration with the Executive Director to enhance program visibility and growth
