WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in social housing, affordable housing, or related public service sectors.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, customer service, facilities and employee management.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario’s housing legislation and municipal service delivery model(s).
  • Experience with budget and business plan development.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity and financial viability.
  • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations and equity-seeking groups.
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Housing is responsible for the development, leadership, and management of Lanark Community Alliance’s (LCA) facilities including Social Housing, Developmental Services, and office spaces.
The Director will oversee the delivery of safe, affordable, and inclusive housing for individuals and families in need, ensuring alignment with LCA’s values as well as the requirements of the Residential Tenancies Act, the Housing Services Act, local service agreements, and applicable funding bodies.
This role champions tenant-centered approaches while embracing strong business practices and promotes community well-being while building strong partnerships across the affordable housing and social services sectors.
