Overview:
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Director HR Operations and HRIS. Primary Function: Lead the strategic and operational delivery of HR services and systems. Ensure efficient and scalable HR operations while driving digital transformation through HRIS platforms. The ideal candidate is both a process optimizer and a tech-savvy leader who can align people, systems, and data to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead core HR service delivery including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement standardized HR processes and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations to streamline operations.
  • Oversee the strategy, implementation, and optimization of HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, iCIMS, Kronos, Cornerstone).
  • Ensure data integrity, privacy, and security across all HR systems.
  • Deliver workforce analytics and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead system upgrades, integrations, and user training initiatives.
  • Liason between partners cross functionally.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across HR operations and HRIS.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and business leaders to align systems and processes.
  • Champion change management and user adoption of new tools and workflows.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with deep expertise in HR operations and HRIS.
  • Proven success in leading enterprise-wide HR technology initiatives.
