Description

The Director will oversee the EMEA HR talent and business partner support function, ensuring implementation of the HR strategy and goals, supporting leaders and team members in their performance and development, providing coaching and guidance to leaders to support the business, and implementing global processes and standards that enable consistent service and support of organizational growth. This position works in close collaboration with our Centers of Excellence (COE’s) team members and is expected to closely partner with our overall EMEA divisional and functional team members to enable the delivery of business results. This position reports to the Senior Director HR, International Markets based in Brussels, Belgium. This role is hybrid and based out of one of our primary EMEA locations: Oxford, Brussels, Hamburg or Rheda, Germany.

  • Leads implementation of the global HR strategy within NSF EMEA and within the context of the global HR organization, collaboratively leads the implementation of short and long-term goals, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures for the Human Resources support function aligned with the NSF mission, values, and strategy.
  • Partners with Regional Leaders to understand operational priorities and develop strategies to achieve in partnership with Global HRBP’s and regional colleagues.
  • Collaborates with global HR Centers of Excellence, aligning NSF EMEA HR activities with global HR standards and processes as well as soliciting the COE’s for support in fulfilling the regional needs.
  • Responsible for selecting, leading, assessing, and developing a high performing HR workforce to provide excellent service across the NSF EMEA region.
  • Accountable for achieving HR departmental and organizational goals aligned with global HR strategy, providing input to the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and ensuring HR budget spend is aligned with global HR budget for NSF EMEA.
  • Leads human capital aspects of new operations in the region as well as pre- Merger and Acquisitions (M&A) due diligence and integration of acquisitions that may occur.
  • In collaboration and alignment with the global talent management team and leadership development strategy, directs talent acquisition, talent management & learning and development activities within NSF EMEA. Ensures leaders are developed to leader competencies/expectations and team members are developed and trained for current and future roles. Provides informal (coaching) and formal development for leaders within NSF EMEA.
  • Through alignment with global talent acquisition team, accountable for recruitment and retention strategies, processes, and services within NSF EMEA to ensure high performing workforce and talent onboard to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborating with the global total rewards team, establishes and manages compensation processes and policies aligned with the global total rewards strategy to attract and retain top talent within NSF EMEA’s budget. Support annual performance and compensation activities supporting our pay for performance culture.
  • Leads positive team member relations and ensures legal compliance regarding management of employee issues as well as compliance requirements.
  • Accountable for HRIS data integrity across NSF EMEA, collaborating with the Center of Excellence for HRIS to ensure system implementations and maintenance meet the global data standardization strategy and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee and sometimes handle employee relations for EMEA, in collaboration with our Quality colleagues.
  • Working towards making NSF a destination for world-class talent in EMEA

Qualifications: 5-10 years proven experience in an HR function
3+ years of proven people leader experience
Min. 3 years’ experience working in an international set-up, at ease with matrix organizational set-up & COE collaboration
Employment legislation knowledge or at least awareness
Prior exposure to HR support in multiple EMEA countries
A previous experience in sales, operations or in any industry linked to NSF, is a plus
Ability to demonstrate agility and ability to adapt in a frequently changing environment
Capacity to understand different business models/needs in a variety of 11 countries in EMEA
Ability to prioritize and work with global/regional/local teams to deliver on plan

Strong interpersonal skills

  • Good command of English, any other European language is a plus!
