PURPOSE:

Join UPMC Presbyterian and take the helm of a dynamic multi-modality Imaging department, where clinical excellence meets strategic leadership. We are seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to oversee day-to-day operations, drive system-wide imaging initiatives, and support our mission to deliver world-class care to our patients and communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee daily operations of the designated Imaging business unit, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments and clinical teams. Provide direct leadership and support to imaging staff and radiologists.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with hospital leadership, physician partners, and the Imaging Service Center to align initiatives with organizational goals, improve service delivery, and drive system-wide imaging strategy.
  • People Management & Development: Supervise staff performance, conduct timely evaluations, and develop growth plans that support professional development, engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison among hospital administration, medical staff, external referring providers, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and service excellence.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, DOH, etc.), and lead quality improvement efforts that support accreditation readiness and operational excellence.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight: Monitor business unit performance metrics, including volume and financial indicators. Lead budgeting processes, drive efficiency initiatives, and implement solutions that enhance revenue and control costs.
  • Innovation & Education: Stay current on industry trends, contribute to educational efforts, and support research activities where applicable.
  • System-wide Impact: Manage key initiatives, programs, and projects defined by the Imaging Service Center that extend beyond local operations to influence enterprise-level performance.
