BUILD BEST-IN-CLASS PRODUCT DESIGN & BRAND EXPERIENCES

  • Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Design Innovation, PFNA, and through the Global Design Leadership, you will help steer the vision and mission of PepsiCo Design + Innovation. You will unite with global and regional design leaders to share experience, strategies, and champion horizon mapped future pipeline opportunities, and deliver good food portfolio transformation. Solutions which drive brand, food design, product, structural packaging, retail, and merchandising excellence. Your work will drive strategic business value while setting new standards for creative excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 7 years (recent) in a market implementation product design, delivering pipeline innovation.
  • Managing talent, internal & external, with a minimum of 3 years.
  • Degree(s) in Industrial/Product Design, Architecture, Engineering, Advertising/Branding, Design Strategy.
  • Superior human-centered, design & system-thinker.
  • A proven change-agent, and relationship builder.
  • Experienced Foresights & Data Analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s Design degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in Commercialized Product, Brand Strategy, Design Advocate Strategy, Innovation & Product Development.
  • Superior in Ai Integration, Ai Workflows & Ai Tools.
  • Superior CAD and Adobe Suite experience.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership, team management skills and a strategic acumen.
  • Superior project management and design management skills; attention to detail.
  • Compelling presentation and proposal skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work in ambiguous and dynamic work environment; is comfortable with taking risks.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
  • Be an inspiring leader, both within and outside of the design organization.
  • Know how to translate business needs into actionable processes and solutions.
  • Draw on diverse perspectives to solve design problems and drive effective solutions.
  • Articulate design vision through prototyping, scenario modeling, strategic roadmaps, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with researchers, marketers, media teams to cross-pollinate ideas, methods, and approaches.
  • Build and evolve methodologies, nurture the maturity of the design & innovation capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship and support the professional development to team members.
  • Effectively influence across all levels in the organization; across regions and functions; can get things done through formal and informal channels.
  • Navigating tradeoffs and creating solutions – Finding solutions that meet system goals – team, consumer, competition, customers, internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Design Innovation Director driving the PFUS mission critical projects and initiatives, you will lead strategic innovation, be the architect of breakthrough strategies that redefine market boundaries, educating and applying 4-lens and system thinking. You will be:

  • A hands-on design leader, crafting learning plans, pioneering foresight as well as leveraging PepsiCo’s existing competencies, to drive immersive workshops, phases and stages.
  • Applying advanced AI, 3D and creative technologies, educating and leading others with best-in-class creative execution.
  • Engage cross-functional leaders to advance ONETeam at speed. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll shape and execute human-centric ideas, opportunities, build-test-learn prototypes, and extract critical insights to validate and scale innovative solutions across the US and beyond.
  • All the above will work in lockstep with the Marketing Innovation leaders and their respective organizations, to advance the biggest priorities and solutions fit into various senior leadership forums.
