Description
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professional to join our team.   Responsibilities: * Formulate and drive strategic directions for the Council’s trade promotion programme, including local signature events and flagship programmes such as the Hong Kong Pavilion at leading overseas and Mainland exhibitions, as well as outbound business missions, to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a premier two-way global trade hub; * Serve as the Council’s senior representative in key promotional initiatives and activities, strengthening international visibility; * Cultivate and maintain strong connections with governments, overseas consulates, chambers of commerce, trade associations, SME-related organizations, and media partners, to widen collaboration networks and amplify Hong Kong’s trade promotion impact; * Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and delivery of high-impact results; * Oversee resource planning, governance, and risk management to ensure that promotional programmes are executed effectively and efficiently; * Leverage data-driven insights and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team; * Perform any other duties as directed by senior leadership in support of the Council’s mission and organisational priorities.   Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred; * Minimum 15 years of experience in exhibition business, international marketing, or strategic partnerships, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role; * Proven track record in developing and executing strategic promotional programs and managing high-level partnerships; * Strong inclination and understanding of national and Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong; * Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; * Outstanding communication and presentation skills; fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.   Remuneration and Benefits: The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs.
