SALARY GRADE

Case Western Reserve University is committed to providing a transparent estimate of the salary range available for this position at the time of its posting. The salary range is between $76,725 and $97,057, depending on qualifications, experience, department budgets, and industry data.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience in an academic environment are required; OR Doctoral degree and 5 years of relevant experience in an academic environment are required. Prefer experience working with large courses or cohorts of students, experience within interprofessional education, and university-level teaching experience. Prefer experience working in a health sciences campus or academic medical center.

  • Knowledgeable about Interprofessional Education Competencies, with demonstrated experience in development of Interprofessional Education curriculum development, program management, and faculty development.

  • Strong course development and management skills, including developing learning objectives and learning activities and assignments that enable students to meet those objectives.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience in strategic planning, program and project development, implementation, financial and operational analysis, and evaluation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in multiple teams to effectively and efficiently complete tasks, projects, and strategic plans with minimal supervision and general direction.
  • Proficiency with course management systems, such as Canvas, as well as general computer skills/systems/software proficiency. Proficiency with utilizing management tools, such as the Google suite of applications, Microsoft Office, Qualtrics, Canva, Zoom, etc. Comfortable with learning new platforms through self-education and directed just-in-time learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategically execute Interprofessional Education initiatives across the Health Education Campus. Provide visionary leadership in the design, coordination, and delivery of high-impact IPE sessions that engage students from the schools of Nursing, Medicine, Dental Medicine, Applied Social Sciences, and other health-related programs. Collaborate with the IPE Steering Committee to define short-and long-term goals for IPE programming, assessment and faculty development. Translate the strategic vision of the IPE Steering Committee into actionable, outcomes-driven programming that align with institutional goals and accreditation standards. Lead the development of learning objectives, session structures, and student deliverables that advance interprofessional competencies and improve patient care outcomes. Propose and pilot new interprofessional learning experiences, such as simulations, case-based learning, or community-based projects. Oversee the logistical and technological execution of IPE activities across in-person, hybrid, and virtual modalities, in collaboration with faculty content teams, simulation center staff, UTech, and Mediavision. (30%)
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation in teaching across disciplines. Provide support for faculty involved in IPE. Serve as a liaison between Case Western Reserve University schools and external partners. leverage the university’s network of community health clinic sites to foster interprofessional collaboration among students from various health disciplines. Facilitate the integration of community-based learning into the IPE framework to enhance real-world application of team-based care and social determinants of health. (20%)
  • Partner with clinical simulation leaders across schools to embed interprofessional competencies into simulation-based education. Ensure that simulation activities reflect best practices in collaborative care and provide students with immersive, team-based learning experiences. (10%)
  • Manage Assessment and educational accountability. Lead the development and administration of rigorous, competency-aligned assessments and assignments across multiple schools that reinforce IPE learning objectives. Ensure all evaluation tools are evidence-based and aligned with accreditation standards and the strategic goals of the IPE Steering Committee. Lead continuous quality improvement efforts based on data and stakeholder feedback. (10%)
  • Oversee the tracking and documentation of student engagement and performance in IPE activities. Address student concerns with professionalism and discretion, and serve as a liaison to academic programs to ensure timely communication and support. Present evaluation data and student feedback to the committee to inform improvements. (10%)
  • Facilitate cross-school and cross-institutional partnerships to expand the reach and impact of IPE initiatives. Overcome historical and structural barriers between departments and schools. Serve as a key communicator and ambassador for the program, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. (10%)
