Job Description The IT PMO Director is responsible for governance, demand management, and the oversight of all technological projects within the organization. He/she ensures alignment between demand prioritization, IT projects, business priorities, and the overall organizational strategy. This position plays a key role in optimizing resources, improving project management processes, and maximizing the value delivered through IT investments. Primary Responsibilities Governance and Strategy: Define and maintain the IT project portfolio governance framework Align the project and demand portfolio with business strategy and organizational objectives Prioritize demands based on added value, risks, and organizational capacity Establish and monitor PMO performance indicators (KPIs, ROI, expected benefits, etc.) Portfolio and Project Management: Oversee the entire IT project portfolio in terms of budget, timelines, risks, quality, and benefits Support project managers in the planning, execution, and closure of projects Implement and maintain project management tools, methodologies, and standards (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.) Manage inter-project dependencies and resolve cross-functional issues Leadership and Coaching: Supervise, train, and motivate IT project managers and PMO analysts Foster a high-performing, results-oriented project management culture Advise senior management on best practices and trends in IT portfolio management Budgeting and Performance: Manage the overall budget for the IT project portfolio Produce performance reports, profitability analyses, and executive dashboards Identify opportunities to optimize costs and maximize benefits Continuous Improvement: Assess PMO maturity and propose continuous improvement initiatives Update processes, templates, and tools in line with evolving needs Promote innovation and agility in IT project management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Master’s degree in Management (MBA) or Information Technology is an asset Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in IT project and portfolio management Proven experience in establishing and leading an IT PMO Exposure to Agile, DevOps, Cloud, and digital transformation environments Strong command of project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe) In-depth knowledge of PMO tools (MS Project, Jira, Clarity, Power BI, etc.) Excellent analytical and budget management skills Inspiring leadership and strong political acumen Outstanding communication, influencing, and diplomacy skills Strategic mindset with a comprehensive understanding of IT and business issues Results-oriented, rigorous, and capable of managing complexity Bilingualism (English/French, oral and written): bilingualism is a key requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our diverse stakeholders For more information, please contact Ibrahima Amadou LY #LI-Hybrid At CIMA+, we value diversity of talent and perspective.
