Description
Serves as a primary functional contact for the Engineering team by providing technical/expert advise and recommendations to the leadership team in the areas of direction and strategy development in a global environment Provides leadership and mentoring to team members to achieve organizational goals in alignment with AOP. Establishes organizational procedures and plans, consistent with corporate policy. Executes, and recommends modifications to corporate policy Partner closely with Operations leaders to ensure the smooth transition of products to volume manufacturing by providing requisite component, subassembly or system level test fixtures, training and procedures Driver of innovation and continuous improvements within Manufacturing industry Serves as a role model and sets the example, whose behavior is emulated by other engineering team members. (Safe behavior, follow proper protocols and procedures, including core values). Demonstrated industry peer recognition: Technical publication, accomplished BKMs proliferation, proven record of significant contributions within Manufacturing industry,. Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required. Recognized as “guru” or external expert in a function Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions
