Description
Manage a regional Logistics Team with overall responsibility for oversight of physical Inventory Control Determination of documentation requirements throughout the supply chain including the third party logistics provider. Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement of inbound and outbound material movements Development and delivery of process training across all levels of staff Development of process effectiveness metrics Weekly review of process exceptions at regional or global level Guided by segment/functional strategy, impacts results of a department, business unit or sub-function or facilitates the work done by other segments/functions by providing support to impact the business Ensure infrastructure and resources are in place to support the logistics strategies. Manage operational performance and drive Logistics Service Providers improvements Develop business requirements and partner with commodity sourcing team for e RFP events. Provide functional leadership with cross functional teams to drive corporate wide initiatives and system architecture improvements Partners with Global Trade and local customs to ensure process designs and executions are following Applied trade policies Maintain adherence to trade compliance, brokerage requirements, and internal audit standards. Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across business unit, department or sub-functions Leads through subordinate managers of managers; executes segment/functional business plans and contributes to the development of segment/functional strategy Negotiates and influences the opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations; exercises sensitivity to the audience Accountable for Southeast Asia Hub and Spoke, Ship Kit Operations and identified Asia countries Logistics Operations Develop and execute logistics network design and process strategies aligned with business growth in the region and cost optimization goals Develop strategic partner (3PL) engagement strategies and initiatives roadmap for partnership/improvement. Drive initiatives for automation, productivity improvement, and advanced analytics adoption Build and mentor a high-performing team, including managers, analysts, and operational staff Responsibility for directing and overseeing operations/projects. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Logistics Operations, Transportation or Supply Chain Minimum 20 years relevant operations experience in Logistics operations disciplines At least 8 years' experience in Logistics Service Providers management Strong understanding of related industry sector Demonstrated experience in managing warehouse network and inventory optimization, process improvement, cost and productivity improvements Experience in a fast paced, high volume industry environment would be an asset Experience and familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., Autostore, VLM, robotics) and digital tools Strong vendor management skills. Proven track record of leading teams ( internal and 3PL), developing logistics strategies and driving executions to meet business goals and objectives Ability to demonstrate high sense of urgency and is highly adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Attention to details and analytical in problem solving Strong ability to effectively communicate at all levels and collaborate with a culturally diversified cross functional team Excellent English written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge in DMAIC, 8D and Six Sigma typed Quality methodologies is preferred.
