About the Position Director and Head- Plant Operations, Höganäs India Pvt. Ltd. We are looking for An operations leader who will have the overall responsibility for the Hoganas India manufacturing site operations and lead the team in Ahmednagar in a safe and sustainable way. We are looking for you A qualified engineer, preferably with a professional qualification in operations management or similar, minimum 15 years of operations management experience within Steel processing industry and 5+ years of management experience. It is a major benefit if you have been a member of a management team in the past and have experience of working in a matrix set-up. A big preference is knowledge of Powder Metallurgy technology, local regulatory conditions and experience in monitoring compliance with relevant policies, practices and procedures. You will be part of a global team in addition to your local responsibility so great English language skills and good communication, and interpersonal skills is a must. If you have previous multi-cultural work experience this is a big plus. You will be leading a large multi-functional, multi-skilled team towards a common organizational goal meaning that you are a leader who listens and learns, foster open communication and leads with a high level of psychological safety. You should be able to create trust & respect with a high degree of integrity and demonstrate capability to build and strengthen a multi-cultural team. You are someone who makes strategy happen with keen understanding of P&L, cost optimization opportunities, operational efficiency and the levers to drive growth. You should be customer focused and a change agent. You are a champion for environmental sustainability and understand corporate social responsibilities. About the position The position is based in the Hoganas India manufacturing site located in Ahmednagar which is approximately 100 KMs from Pune in the state of Maharashtra. Hoganas India headquarters & the India technology center (ITEC) is in Pune. As Head of Plant Operations, you will have end to end responsibility for plant operations including production of metal-powders, equipment, safety, quality, environment, cost, use of materials, continuous improvements, people and process. The role encompasses all areas including raw materials, production, packaging, storage and dispatch of metal powders and other products that the Group offers from its India Operations to meet customer demands. Your key responsibilities will include setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with Höganäs’ global and local strategic plans and ensure buy-in, coordinate with other functions (globally and locally) to ensure production of the right products, at the right cost, right quality and right time to ensure customer demands are met, track and report key performance metrics, plan for expenses and investments as required, secure standard working tools, ensure that global and regional operations’ systems, policies and processes are implemented at HIPL and most importantly ensure a safe work environment and an environmentally sustainable operation. You will also be a key contributing member of the corporate social responsibility program of Hoganas India.
