Brightside Health is seeking a Director, Marketing & Brand who can roll up their sleeves and own brand development in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for shaping and elevating the Brightside brand across multiple touchpoints, driving awareness and trust across consumer and B2B audiences. This is a high-impact, highly collaborative role reporting to the COO and working cross-functionally with our CEO, Product, Commercial, and Clinical stakeholders.
This is a high-impact, scrappy and execution-heavy role focused on owning and operationalizing Brightside’s brand strategy. We’re looking for someone who can execute independently, think strategically, and bring a brand vision to life with focus and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of brand, marketing, or creative strategy experience, with 3+ years leading and mentoring creative or brand teams
  • Proven track record of building and scaling brands in fast-paced environments — portfolio and/or case studies appreciated
  • Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle of brand across consumer and enterprise audiences
  • Strategic and execution-driven mindset; thrives in ambiguity and can move with urgency
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and messaging skills, with an eye for both voice and visual cohesion
  • Experience in corporate (non-agency) brand roles — prior agency experience is fine, but must have 2+ years in-house
  • Emotionally intelligent communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority
  • Comfortable managing external partners or freelancers and setting clear expectations for creative deliverables
  • Advance our AI maturity—leveraging tools for content generation, research, social, etc
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Brand & Creative team — providing mentorship, setting priorities, and driving accountability across all initiatives
  • Evolve Brightside’s brand strategy and positioning, ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Translate existing brand identity into a go-to-market strategy
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign development in collaboration with content, design, and marketing partners, guiding the team through concepting, execution, and optimization
  • Ensure strong brand governance by maintaining and evolving brand guidelines and reinforcing brand consistency across internal and external teams
  • Shape messaging and storytelling across platforms (web, social, paid, events), ensuring alignment with brand strategy
  • Partner with Commercial and Clinical leaders to support go-to-market efforts and align brand narrative with business goals
  • Support public-facing efforts, including press, events, and thought leadership
  • Manage creative team and freelance partners (e.g., PR, design), setting clear expectations for deliverables
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs, design platforms, content generators) to improve efficiency and impact
  • Evaluate and evolve our brand based on data, insights, and industry trends
