Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.

ABOUT THE POSITION

St Mary MacKillop Gooddo is an Early Learning Centre situated within a remote Indigenous community on Palm Island. As the only Early Learning Centre on the island, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the youngest members of the local community.
We are seeking a dedicated Director for a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, commencing as soon as practical. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the community while leading and supporting Educators in delivering high-quality, inclusive, and engaging early learning experiences. In this pivotal role, you will guide the service as it transitions to a new operating centre, champion staff professional development, succession planning, and contribute to fostering long-term staff retention.
