Position Summary: The Country Director of Medical Affairs DACH is a key member of the Country leadership team who will work closely with the International medical affairs and local Leadership (commercial, market access and legal teams) to develop and implement the country medical affairs strategy for the ophthalmology indication and pipeline. The successful candidate will provide critical medical insights, training and perspectives to drive late-stage clinical development and life cycle management while preparing medical affairs for launch readiness in the ophthalmology space. Key Responsibilities Include: Lead Country Medical activities Oversee Country Medical Affairs ophthalmology strategy and tactics Lead Country Medical team e.g. MSL field force strategy Develop and implement Country Medical strategy for pegcetacoplan in ophthalmology Represent Country Medical Affairs at regional and Global teams Partner with International Medical Affairs, Commercial and Market Access teams on key initiatives including clinical trial execution, regulatory and launch planning Oversee Country Medical launch activities of pegcetacoplan in GA Provide strategic and medical input into execution of publication plan Support reimbursement and HEOR activities Oversee field medical on the KOL engagement strategy and training needs Develop and lead insights gathering strategy Education, Registration & Certification: Must have a PhD, Pharm D., MD level preferred Experience: 5-10 years + experience in medical affairs organization Experience in ophthalmology or ophthalmologists strongly preferred Significant experience across drug life cycle, particularly in phase 3 development and post-marketing setting; launch experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team, and influence at all levels of an organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation. Entrepreneur mindset Ability to work independently and with flexibility to handle work-flow in a fast-paced environment. Some travel will be required, up to 30%. #LI-AR1
