DIRECTOR, MEDICAL AFFAIRS - CRITICAL CARE

A global pharmaceutical company is hiring for a Director, Medical Affairs to provide scientific and medical leadership across its Critical Care portfolio - overseeing field-based medical activities, fostering effective relationships with key opinion leaders, and contributing to research and development strategy. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

  • MD with specialty training in Critical Care (anesthesia, trauma, internal medicine, surgery, etc.) is required
  • 5+ years of post-fellowship/training experience is required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50% is required

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with external KOLs and experts, as well as internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support global research and development initiatives and strategy.
  • Represent the company at medical and scientific conferences and meetings.
  • Provide strategic leadership for and contribute to the development of advisory boards, congresses, medical presentations, and scientific symposia.
  • Develop and deliver scientific training for internal teams.
  • Review promotional content for medical and scientific accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to support post-marketing studies and investigator-initiated trials.
  • Evaluate grant requests and scientific literature.
  • Track requests for medical information and ensure scientifically accurate responses to medical inquiries
  • Manage operational budget and resource allocation.
