Responsibilities
  1. As a member of the PHC Executive team, provide advice in relation to medical services and participate in management
    decision making for Central Australia (CA). Maintain a supportive professional relationship with E/DMS Alice Springs
    Hospital, Chief Medical Officer NT and actively participate in Medical Executive Leadership Committee meetings.
  2. Work with the other health service providers to improve the efficiency and integration of service delivery to remote
    health clients including the retrieval medical service.
  3. Support and participate in education and training of other primary health care providers.
  4. Develop and maintain the knowledge and skills for the position including expertise in Primary Health Care.
  5. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
    undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  6. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour to participate,
    manage and supervise the Remote Medical team in the delivery of visiting medical services, telephone consultations, and
    program support services to Primary Health Centres; and administer the operation of the Patient Assistance Travel
    Scheme for remote clients.
