About Our Hospitals St John of God Richmond Hospital Located in northwest Sydney, Richmond is a highly regarded 112 bed specialist mental health facility offering inpatient and outpatient care, psychological support, and rehabilitation programs. It is recognised for delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. St John of God Burwood Hospital Situated in Sydney’s inner west, Burwood is an 85 bed facility providing both acute and long‑term mental health care. The hospital is known for its integrated therapeutic programs and comprehensive support for individuals with complex mental health conditions. Together, these two sites play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services within the St John of God Health Care network. In this senior leadership role, you will lead a dedicated medical team and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values while demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical leadership to ensure the highest standards of medical practice. Develop and implement strategic plans for medical services and clinical governance. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Lead quality and clinical risk management programs to enhance patient safety. Represent the hospitals in industry forums and stakeholder engagements. Uphold the Ethical Standards of Catholic Health Care. You will hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and bring: A proven track record of clinical leadership within acute healthcare settings. Expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement. The ability to drive excellent patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and service satisfaction. Demonstrated experience in change management and stakeholder engagement. Strong influencing skills and the ability to cultivate a values‑driven, service‑oriented culture.
